IT'S A BLOG LAUNCH PARTY!!
Saturday, October 24, 2015Several weeks ago I hosted a Blog Launch Party for some of my closest friends and I wanted to share it with you here. There is nothing better than an end of summer cocktail party with great food and good friends.
I've been encouraged by so many over the years to write. Finally, I stepped out and put the pen to paper so to speak and launched the Biggest Little Life blog. This is a place, where I share my passions - food, recipes, travel, entertaining, and my day job - Real Estate.
I hope you will enjoy the pictures of our lovely evening. I will be posting the recipes soon and will link them back to this posting.
THE BAR
Limit yourself to several different cocktails, wine and beer. Having too big of a bar can be overwhelming. Set everything out on a shiny tray. Here we had a Margaritas, Martinis, Cosmos and Blood Orange Martinis, Vodka & Soda and Jack and Coke.
Don't forget glasses - I love these from World Market - they are inexpensive and come in a terrific storage box. I also buy fun napkins like these there as well. Fun garnishes for your cocktails are a must. I always have cocktail onions, blue cheese stuffed olives, lemons, limes, and caper berries like these.
THE BUFFET
I like to set a cocktail buffet for the ease of serving. I have a mixed pattern of small white plates that are perfect for any occasion. I keep the flowers simple to highlight the food and I always use my good silver. Just prop the forks in a drinking glass and you're are all set.
